Creating Aliases   File Buddy’s alias creation dialog lets you create aliases automatically in your favorite places, and provides some options Finder doesn’t. The Put the alias in: popup menu in the dialog contains your favorite alias destinations as you add them using the New Location... command in that menu. The Icon: popup lets you specify what kind of icon the alias will have. The options are: Default - Use the standard Finder icon for the alias. Blank - Use a custom icon on the alias which results in no icon appearing in the Finder, only the name. Small Only - Use a custom icon on the alias which results in only the item’s small icon appearing in the finder. Nice for saving space on the desktop. The Lock Name checkbox lets you lock the name so it won’t go into editing mode when clicked on. Especially useful if the alias has a blank icon.
